In Moscow gallery “House Nashokin” an exhibition of works by artists of the twentieth century, made in the genre of the nude. On display are paintings and sculptures of the best masters of the past century: Pyotr Konchalovsky , Zinaida Serebrya, Valentin Serov , Alexander Archipenko , Aristarchus Lentulova , Ilya Mashkova , Konstantin Juon , Boris Kustodiev , Nicholas Stipa , Mikhail Sokolov , Michael Matyushina , Alexander Labasa , Mikhail Larionov , Natalia Goncharova , Robert Falk , Alexander Drevin , Hope Udaltsova , Arthur Fonvizin , Alexander Tischler , Anatoly Zverev , Dmitry Krasnopevtsev , Oleg Tselkov , Vadim Sidura , Leonid Purygin , Vasily Sitnikov , Vladimir Veisberg , Boris Sveshnikov , Alexander Gerasimov , Alexander Deineka ,Andrei Vasnetsov , Igor Obrosova , Tatyana Nazarenko , Vladimir Lyubarova, Olga Bulgakova , Dashi Namdakov, Victor Korneev, Elena Surovtseva and many other authors. More than a hundred works. Thus, at this exhibition for the first time you can see paintings of representatives of virtually all directions in the Russian art of XX century made in the genre of nude.

English Poster end of XIX - the early decades of XX century Exhibition

The exhibition English Poster of the End of XIX — the Beginning of XX Century from the Collection of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts opens in the Arts Gallery of European and American Countries of XIX—XX centuries.  The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts inherited a big collection of the applied graphic art of the second half of XIX and the beginning of XX century from the State Museum of New Western Art (SMNWA). In 1948, after liquidation of such a unique institution which started its activity with the integration of two famous collections from the French pictorial art belonging to S. I. Shchukin and I. A. Morozov, the gravure and painting department of the State Museum of Fine Arts received more than two thousand lithograph posters of Europe and America.

MASLENITSA MOSCOW

Mardi Gras, Carnival, Carnaval, Karneva… that’s Maslenitsa by any other name. And if you haven’t heard of it, no one would blame you—it wasn’t celebrated to much extent for 85 years in Russia. However, Maslenitsa is back in full force. Since 2002 it’s been officially organised in the city and is again becoming a mainstay of Moscow’s holiday calendar.
